FocusBlobs (“we,” “us”) is a time-tracking and to-do app run by Jordan Walker. This page explains what we collect, what we do with it, and the limits we put on ourselves.
What we collect
Account info.When you sign up (with email or Google), we store your email address, an account ID, and an optional display name. Nothing else from your Google profile is kept beyond what’s needed to authenticate you.
Your tasks, sessions, and schedule. The to-dos you create, the timer sessions you log, and the events you schedule are stored in our database (Supabase, hosted on AWS) so you can access them across devices.
Google Calendar (only if you connect it).If you click “Connect Google Calendar” in Settings, we receive a short-lived access token from Google that lets us READ your calendar events. We never write to your calendar. We don’t store the events themselves on our servers — they’re fetched on-demand and shown in your browser. You can disconnect at any time.
Anonymous usage.We may log basic usage metrics (page views, error reports) to keep the service working. These don’t include your task content.
What we do NOT do
- We don’t sell your data. To anyone. Ever.
- We don’t share it with advertisers or trackers.
- We don’t train ML models on your task content.
- We don’t read your tasks for any purpose other than showing them back to you.
- We don’t write to your Google Calendar.
Where it lives
Our database is hosted on Supabase (which runs on AWS). Our app is deployed on Vercel. Both are reputable infrastructure providers with their own privacy and security commitments. Your data is encrypted at rest and in transit (HTTPS).
Limited use of Google data (Google API Services User Data Policy)
FocusBlobs’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Specifically, FocusBlobs only requests the minimum scope necessary to read your upcoming Google Calendar events when you explicitly connect your calendar in Settings. We do not transfer this data to third parties. We do not use it for advertising. We do not allow humans to read it (except as required for security or with your explicit permission).
Your controls
- Delete your data:Settings → “reset everything” wipes your local cache. Email hello@focusblobs.com to permanently delete your server-side account.
- Disconnect Google Calendar: Settings → Google Calendar → Disconnect. Tokens are revoked.
- Export your data:Email us. We’ll send a JSON dump within 7 days.
Cookies
We use a single first-party authentication cookie set by Supabase to keep you signed in. We don’t use third-party tracking cookies, marketing pixels, or analytics that track you across sites.
Children
FocusBlobs isn’t directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we’ll delete the account.
Changes
If we materially change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top and notify signed-in users by email.
